My name is Paul. I love to write but I don’t do it nearly enough. I am a husband and father; an engineer who works full-time; a hobbyist. Mostly, I enjoy helping those around me shine.
My life is pretty normal:
- I’m not wealthy; I’m not swimming in debt
- My health is pretty good; I carry too much weight
- I can be good at what I do; I am an idiot who makes too many mistakes
- I’m not cursed by an addiction; I drink a bit more that I should
- Love is a feeling; love is a verb
- I know my limits; I don’t push myself hard enough
On a few topics, I believe I have something to share. I expect that the content here will be light and uncontroversial. I don’t expect many subscribers or commenters, and I don’t really care about that. As I embark on this journey, I can’t help but feel that posting a blog feels a bit like shouting into a dark and quiet room. So this experience will be interesting. My primary goal is to use this as a writing playground . . . a writing lab . . . something that pushes me to write, to create, and to share in a way that others can see, while at the same time not really caring if they do.
